oh on my brother's bday (dinner at home as usual), we had foie gras with apples (again! ml!) and leg of lamb. Premarinated leg of lamb from Swiss Butchery (near RGPS) is pretty freaking good. :) Mom made Coffee Custard cake (?!). FOIE GRAS WITH APPLES (its $80 for like 8 times of this minute serving, not worth it lar i feel. Cos the lamb was only $30 and super good!)
EY My broter the bday boy and his gf and the COFFEE CUSTARD CAKE MOMMY MADE When we asked her what it was : " Shen me lai de?! " and she said sheepishly : " Hmm. Aiya. You2 dian3 guai4 guai4 de. (a bit weird) " hahhaa. so appetising. but it turned out pretty ok. a bit like pandan kaya cake. Not too bad. Went pretty well with the greek coffee kor brought back from oh well.. where else? Greece.
My brother and my dad had a Spelling quiz that day. a 50 year old Chinese Educated uncle VS a NUS Engineering , ex-HCJC student
How do you spell February : DAD: "F" BRO: "F" DAD: "E" BRO: "E" DAD: "B" BRO: "B" DAD: "R" BRO: "R" *crucial moment* DAD: You go first. *sly smile* BRO: *hesitates* hmmm fe-bre-ree.... so should be "A". DAD: *shouts* "U"!
Man. Embarrassing. But dad still can't spell giraffe. Why am i doing language studies again? hehe.
Dinner was fun. Drank more than my parents for the first time. My dad and mom looked both proud and threatened at the same time when they noticed my glass empty again. haha. Four glasses of red and 2 glasses of kahlua milk (i love kahlua milk although its a bicycle (lady's) drink. its jus nice alcoholic tasty milk lar)
Gave my bro Marvel 1602 by Neil Gaiman. Hehe. I won't say my desire to read it din play a part in my decision-making process. >:) My brother's gf is an accomplice too. And my aunt got him HARRY POTTER! hurray! I raised my hands up and YAY-ed when he unwrapped his present. haha. He looked positively amused. :) ~
Went out with JJ and LH yesterday. Gosh i never walked so much in such a short time. These two together is THE formula for wishywashiness. JJ has no preference. I let the lady do her choosing. And WE ALL KNOW LH, don't we! :) Her mind works in marvellous ways. Decide on AJISEN, we end up heading towards Marina Square , decide on Thai food, she pops up with some other place, decide on coffee after meal , we end up looking for dessert at Suntec Basement, suggests Gelare, we go look for Cedele , consider Haagen Daaz, we end up at Soup Spoon. JJ and I almost went mad. Didn't help that we were lugging ('we' at first then one of his bags broke so stuff in the bag i helped carry went into the one he was carrying) his matriculation goodie bag which was rather bulky. hahaha. its so funny. But she'll make a really good salesperson. I JUST HAD TO buy this G2000 longsleeved shirt cos she was making all the right compliments. awww. i'm jus so Caesar.
Some photos!
WE TOOK THIS AT ONE RAFFLES LINK (or sth like tt). UNTIL WE REALISED WE WERE POSING ON A ROAD. haha.
 another photo there.
 LH redeemed her photo-taking skills
