decided to display some old works here.
i remember how this sketch came abt.
was feeling realli down and out, so decided to draw sth.
asked a fren wat i should draw.
she said " I like tulips. "

e kite's abit redundant but adds a certain story to e sketch. u can prob imagine a little kid at e other corner of e field looking for it.
it's not a ufo, jus some daylight breaking thru an overcast sky.

drew it during mi ops duty. (sitting in a little aircon cell. waiting for phonecalls )
it's not too detailed cos i'm going for a general feeling.
was thinking of adding silhouettes ard, but thot it was redundant in e end. leaving rm for imagination.
and why is he a working person? dunno la.
oh e words read " standing in e rain, noone knows even if u cry "- wat inspired this.

for ppl who dun know abt this, Paul, Lauren (hc council mates) and i actually started recording in J1. produced 2 'albums' ( if u may allow me to call it that ) since then.
Paul does e piano, Lauren and I sing.
The debut album " On The Roof" was released in early 2002 ( march or may or ard there ), i designed e album for that. ( cover was a photo of e 3 of us on hc's rooftop.:P)
The second album " Bald and Waitressing " was done July this year. well it was e status quo during e mth. Bald = Paul and i = NS. Waitressing= Lauren.

Lauren did e designing for e 2nd album. the cover was actually done by a prof. caricature street artist! 10 bucks. not bad a job indeed. tho i look a bit puffed and cheena. and lau looks like a typical Singaporean air stewardess. haha.

ok. for ppl who has msn messanger, u'll prob find this pretty familiar:
sth i drew during mi 'work' hours incamp.
inspired to draw by Saiyuki, a jap comic.
u can't realli see e pencil strokes cos i had to compress it to get friendster to actually upload it (500KB limit) so it looks a little bit different fm e orig.
it isn't super nice. din get e shading right. but still like e feel of it.
it's called 'insomnia'.
i'm still pretty proud of it. heh.
