the door is shut.
i shut it myself.

no more deep.
no more dark.
no more razors from her boots and the hundred falling doves -
but i will still love to plunge into that imagery once in a while.

get your warmers ready. its going to be very cold

as cold as

"and now more colours.
more lights.
give me music.
no more nights."

you know i borrow the drama. i still will.
but don't give me drama. it'll melt my hands.

and someone asked, " is there a latch ? "
i am feeble. there might be.

a go at pretentious poetry. cough cough. sorry bern.
i always liked to think that poetry could be put into lyrics and a tune will be able to bring all the potential the words have and dazzle and explode. like "alakazam!" (daphne). and all the listeners would be so touched they would bleed. or go into orgasmic spasms and start having seizures on the floor. there was the scene in Sandman : Brief Lives where the Goddess Of Love who lived on into modern times : turned a stripper . She started dancing dances from the ancient times, and the dirty men before her started to go into shock : bleeding. ejaculating. and eventually dying. It is one of my favourite scenes.
But i never liked poetry. Too pretentious. It was never meant to be objective. So in my humble opinion, poetry can only be read by the people whom it was written for. Its much too personal. and much too sentimental. brrrr.

today is chocolate day! haha. i wanted to sms huili and christine but i realised it'll be a realli silly msg ( i might still. cos i know they're mugging still. jia you le.) well i gave u 2 ur chocs, so timely. *beams*

I have been spending quite alot!
I got my 2046 soundtrack, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind DVD and tomorrow Yanzi's album will be released! (reminder to jiabin) And i'm wicked. I'm happy i'm getting it before junjie does (cos he's on overseas ex.) I'm gonna memorise all e songs by the time he gets back and condemn him : outdated fool. Ooh and S.H.E.'s new song is out. Some IRC server typed it as " Huo Niao " (Firebird) at first and got me REALLY excited. (haha imagine after bo si mao and superstar, its gotta be like e next shu-est name) but it ended up being Hou Niao (the waiting bird) which jus makes it so sentimental and soppy and common. Boo. But its written by JIELUN and its not bad. haha. YAY. i realise i love S.H.E. : which means i'm going for their Jan concert if i can still get tics. Which means all my readers are giving me the horrified look. But pui. Dun give a damn.

I had a funny dream last night.

Was in a small concert hall. And somehow i knew i was at Jay's Concert! (can see christine grinning already) I was with jj, and we were waiting in the darkness for King Jay to appear. But the audience were few and bored! (how dare my dream!)( and why am i in the back rows? dreams are really weird little things. ) And while i was waiting, i think my daytime consciousness sorta seeped in slowly, and somehow i felt like i was being filled up with a certain knowledge : that huili should be here too! (its like dejavu in a dream : ya know? like how reality just sorta overlaps a little)

So i just turned my head to my left (YES. LEFT. SPECIFICALLY.) and there she was! with another friend tho. It was quite ridiculous. And Jay sort of started singing. I remember him singing " Wo De Di Pan " and " Jie Kou " only. OH OH OH AND ALSO " JIANG JUN "!! Its quite funny cos if u guys din know, i've been trying pretty hard to memorise some parts of jiang jun (demmed tricky) and well in my dream, i actually rapped out those parts! haha talking bout dreaming what u think of when u're awake (this is a really lame translation of dat popular chi saying "Ri You Suo Si, Ye You Suo Meng" ) Haha but still i remember feeling really disappointed cos the crowd were really stoned and noone was jumping and singing like jj and i was. EVEN HUILI! (looks accusingly at her : tsk tsk. ) Den at that moment, once again, i remembered that someone was missing! CHRISTINE SAN!

So i turned over and asked the nonchalant huili, who just said something vaguely similar to :
" She can't make it cos she was 'detailed' (i clearly remember the usage of the word 'detailed' must be work terms coming into play) as some terrorist suspect so she's on her way home"
hahaha. i remember thinking : " Always standing us up (this must be what i really feel in reality. >:P ). stupid girl. "

But being sweet ol' zy, i still called her, and she was on her way home on the taxi sounding ALL MISERABLE. So i asked her to make a U-turn and come back! I assured her i'll be able to get her thru the lousy security personnel at the doors.
And the NEXT SCENE was Christine on her taxi asking the uncle to do a U-turn and flying thru some funny dark roads with HDBs at the side.

And the next thing i knew, she arrived (time doesn't really follow its normal course in dreams as we all know). And i had to leave my seat with huili to go bring her in. (yes, jay was dat unexciting. i could actually get away from the performance) And den we all managed to watch the performance together. (jj is oddly quiet in e dream)

Den everything ended, then there was sorta like an encore but cos quite a bit of the crowd in front of the stage left , jj and i (ditching huili. chris sorta disapppeared) ran down to the stage. And wow, jielun was only like a metre away and the stage was prob bout 20 cm high or soemthing. haha. quite hilarious. And he had a special guest! And surprise! its not Jerry Yen or Wen Lan (e intended guests for e upcoming concert in sg) but ROBBIE WILLIAMS ( i know why dis came in my dream but i'm not telling). Haha and while robbie was performing, jj and i were talking to jielun. haha i did a sorta worshipping kowtow to him and was being a really desperate and stupid fan. I even gave him something of mine (i think a book) and asked him to return it to me and den preteneded it was a gift from him. (jj was realli embarrassed.) Oh but before u guys all think i'm like some secret schoolgirl jielun fan-wannabe, here comes the highlight of the dream. When the 'dream camera' sorta focused on jielun (full body), he looked exactly like some lousy Japanese dance/boyband member! haha hahaha. think it was cos i was watching a variety show with the boyband in it! heehee. So anticlimax right? but i still thought it was jielun. quite hilarious.

yay, i like fun and detailed dreams like this.

i've been sleepy since i waked up this morning. as in eyelids drooping sleepy. help.

My dad is drumming his huge belly and singing that tribal like chinese tune which goes: " Hong long tong tong tong, (up 1 note) Hong long tong tong tong, (up 1 note) Hong long tong tong tong , (in release) WUUUUUUUUUUU1 !"
And i sort of picked it up and was singing it to myself in e living room when my mum, in her room, overheard and started singing what seemed like the COMPLETE SONG. (Did u guys know there was actually such a song?!) It goes something " xiao peng you a xiao peng you" and dunno wat "shang huo che" which means little friend, little friend come ride on the train. And she started "hong long tong tong tong"-ing. And i couldn't help but laugh when she started WUUUUUU-ing.

Its quite funny when you know where certain genes come from.

anyway,

okay guys it decided! haha! my family will be spending the 3rd week of december (13th to 19th) in WINTER HOKKAIDO! ROCKS! hahahahahah. (mania) Its like some surprise cos the intended destination was China. And with some impulse (and a long queue outside SA tours), we've got ourselves landed up with 4 tickets to JAPAN! NIPPON! NIHON! DREAMLAND! Oh man. Its winter. Snow and all. In Japan. JAPAN. *rolls all over the floor* JAPAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Ooh ooh time to start practising my japanese . I can't wait to fly over and start asking everyone on the street in fluent Japanese : "(suavely) Yubin Kyoko was dochira desuka? " (which means : Where's the post office! ) haha! weeeeeeee! This is like gonna be something i'll REALLY be looking forward too. Although i really don't mind Yunnan China too but u guys know i jus dig Jap culture. I'm hari (which is ha1-ri4 = proJapanese).

Yay. I can't wait.

Watch 2046 and indulge your senses. You will have a story to follow (dun worry). One which briefly touches lives of a few beautiful women clad in their cheongsams. There isn't a real reason why any of them should be in the story. But you know the film would not be what it is if anyone of them should be missing. I'm not in love with the dialogue though, there were quite a few instances where i was consciously wrinkling up my nose because the dialogue were too weak : either overt or pretentious (or should i say 'overpretentious' , it's a wong kar wai film after all. ). And i didn't like having Takuya Kimura in it. His acting's really average. But i can see an effort to break away from his Jap-dorama acting style. And its quite silly to have a Japanese in it really. It baits for practical doubts like " How can Faye Wong and him talk when one of them speaks Japanese and the other , Mandarin ? " And why was the introduction narrated in Japanese. So redundant. Bai4 Bi3.

It is an inspirational movie for me. Especially at this stage where i am still experimenting with my writing style and 'writing conscience' ( a term i tagged on the morals i still have to uphold even in my works ). How much reality is allowed in your story? A point to think about. hmm.

I've been trying to read as much as i can and its been pretty smooth. Finished 2 books last week. Wrote a page of maybe 400 words or so. Decided i didn't want that page. Borrowed another 2 books. Dad bought another 7 books for me from Shanghai. China-published books are dirt cheap. $4 for one. gosh. I'm gonna buy BOOKSTORES in China.

But Beijing or Shanghai...beijing or shanghai?

(no mood to blog recently. this took great effort. *cough blood* )
