A most splendid demonstration of how vocals embellish a song:

Faye Wong's " Yang Bao "

Just takes the 1st two lines and i was intoxicated.
Faye rocks for now.
(But Tori still champs.)

And jus the contrary,
how vocals can REALLY trash a song up.

Oh she is SO funny. If u need some exhilaration in generous doses, go straight for "When You Believe".

Good music, big time.

Another retro song on its way!!

Starships " Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now ".

Duty was pretty bad this weekend. I am an inferior signaller. I can't start my generators!
I took 50 tries and still failed at the end.
And my campmates take ONE attempt to get the metal motor going.
Now my hand aches like crazy.
And it was pretty darned embarressing when both my officers (" Females one some more!! " the chauvinist shouts.) got around and asked me if they could help. Eeeps.
And i hurt my waist in e process.
And got my sergeant down at 8 plus for nth, cos i suspected e gen was spoilt and he started it in .. well... ONE try. Egad.

But he taught me e right way and i managed to start e stupid machine in one to two tries for e next 2 days.
But i'm bruised. Physically and emotionally. haha.

The most proposterous statement I've ever read regarding the recent heated debate on the Chinese language and its Education :

The Straits Times
(020404) :

(can't remember e exact words)
" ... setting the Chinese Language (mother tongue) as a criteria will hinder the local universities from attracting the best students from the region."

This is ridiculous. Define "best students" then.

And this is TOPS. I love this. Absolutely stinging. Whether they meant it to be or not, its a kick at the anti Chinese minority.
" To flag the importance of bilingualism, students must still score at least a D7 for a mother tongue language ... "
