went to LOTR exhibition (finally) on 30th May with Zhao and Lau (yeah! original gang of LOTR fanatics minus dele)!!

Thought it was pretty good, although abit expensive (even when Lau managed to cheat the ticketing guy to give us student tickets :P $16). The behind-e-scenes were jaw-dropping, cannot imagine how much effort was put into making each and every scene, can't wait to rewatch everything again!

Alan Lee and John Howe are simply UNBELIEVABLE.
They are the illustrators for the movie. I dunno wat u call them, basically they draw out their own interpretations of each significant scene after reading Tolkien's book and then the CG group comes in with art group to make sculptures, CG, sketches of the characters, the towers, the pipes, EVERYTHING in e show.
They can seriously draw. Alan Lee is especially astounding. With what seems like random strokes and brushes, he creates such great artwork. Breathtaking and DEFINITELY inspiring (picked up the pencil AGAIN. haha)

OH and we took some fun pics! HERE! using the technology they used to create the disparity in size between the hobbits and gandalf maybe.

yep. and we got our event poster too!
the rest of the stuff were too ex. and lau thot buying the ring fror $10 was silly (ended up it all got sold out once i hesitated. demmit )
