Jus came back from town - went to orch n city hall area to get some stuff alone. I found out that the CD/VCD/DVD shop at Peninsula Plaze (near Raffles City, beside Capitol Building) has an impressive collection. I actually found a TORI AMOS A SORTA FAIRYTALE (MV + Production + Interviews) DVD there. And i can tell u i've walked quite a few Lasershops and never found any other live concert/MV DVD/VCDs of hers besides the one i bought at HMV quite a while ago (and that could also be found in this shop. :O ) But i didn't buy it. Yet. Cos its only 25 min long and it costs $30. Let's see how it goes. And demmed, the last DVD i bought for $48 was only $30 here! So its slashed prices too. So go visit the shop if u guys need some pretty rare shows or concerts or jus wanna lookseelooksee.
I realsed BK Chicken Whopper burger is realli quite healthy. But AS A RESULT, less tasty. It's like broiled chicken (hehe, actually i dunno wat's broiled but it tasted like broiled) with tomato, lettuce and some mayo. That's all! Pretty dry.
Yay! had a great time yesterday night at Dele's Place! (YEAH AGAIN)
This time, I passed the baton on to Lau and Dele. Yes, they were the chefs for the night! wooooo~ I was getting pretty worried when the 2 of them were telling me a day before, online that they couldn't call through to the other to discuss what would be on the menu. But oh well, it ended up to be Jiao Zi (Steamed Dumplings) and Pasta. HMM.. quite screwed up huh? But it was quite fun to see lauren trying to cook. She is quite inexperienced APPARENTLY. She din know prawns cook fast. And she added more oil when e dish was almost done. She was asking whether the salt was salt.
I had lotsa fun poking fun at her. She didn't look like she could control the situatioN! dun blame me! The pasta was quite tasteless at 1st, until i grabbed the bottle of sauce she bought and threw the whole lot in. She added only 2 tablespoons and the thing only started to taste when i added the entire bottle in. Then she kept insisting she needed balsamic vinegar and den gave up and jus grabbed normal white vinegar and poured it in. Then she decided to add some white wine. Then sugar. Then we added i think 80 peppercorns! Then more sugar. Then more sauce. Then salt. Then sauce. Then salt. Then more salt. Then wine. Then OIL. haha. It reminded me a bit of trial and error in sec sch maths. But oh well, the pasta wasn't too bad at e end. A tad too spicy (FOR ME), i had huge red lips at e end of e dinner. Dele and zhao were quite surprised cos they always thought i had a better tolerance for spice. But aiyah, i wonder how ppl make conclusions like dat. I think meiling ever said that once too. Cos i realli burn when i eat spicy food but i like it still.
But i din get to see the Jiao Zi the two cheftress(gee) wrapped. But i was quite impressed when they said they made their own doughskin. (until i realised it was only flour and water. hohoho. no la, i'm impressed nevertheless) And it was really good! I thought la. Not as good as China restaurants one la. Or my mom's. But still good! Cos the stuffing was pretty generous and the red vinegar was nice. With happy shreds of ginger ( more more more! ) in it.
Haha, bet zhao thinks they are better cooks then i am but oh well. they chose SIMPLE dishes. :) But i had lotsa fun insulting lau. Like when she asked, " Hey zy, is this enuf ? " (throwing a whole lump of pasta on mi plate) , i'll be like going , " Oh u're TOO generous! " haha. She realli wanted to kick me. Oh she did. Will show u all e pics soon.
Then we had almond jelly (lau made them) , not too bad , tho i think i would have liked it harder and less sweet (:P) and adele's float. Her float rocks. Its milo powder and anlene powder with water and then with a huge scoop of vanilla or choc chip ice cream. yum.
Then we spent THIRTY min discussing how to take care of our stuff when we are at the Nike Realrun (URG.) this sunday. I tell u these ppl are TRULY slackers, kept digressing, we ended up talking abt putting stuff in our caps den dele talked abt how valuable her undergarments were, den zhao talking abt how he deposited his bag in a stranger's car during NDP and den lauren talking abt some pretty disturbing experience of her mom's neighbour who got sentenced to death for taking some stranger's bag which contained drugs at e airport. Well it was jus major offtrack discussion. Well the problem being there are only 446 lockers at Sentosa this sunday and there are SIX THOUSAND (6000) participants. So we dun think we can get ourselves a locker. So we're discussing whether we're gonna bring clothes. And i thot it was impossible for me not to. I'll be e smelliest person ard. Den they din wanna leave their stuff lying ard which i suggested. So we're gonna jus run w our valuables which is sucky but oh well. no choice.
And we did pictionary AGAIN! haha. Wah piang but i tell u this time we've got LAUREN. Our STAR ARTIST. Let me see. The clue was " COW BOY ". She drew a circle. With two dots as eyes. Fair enough. Then two sharp pointed thing(ears or horns or watever). okayyyy still acceptable as jus BAD drawing. UNTIL SHE DREW A SNOUT. A SNOUT. hahah we've got proof! i'll post it on! It's super funny. And zhao, her partner actually COULD say "COW"! wah lel. i almost flipped.
Den MY PARTNER adele was JUST DIU LIAN. Cos we got ALL PLAY for an OBJECT. And she started drawing. Okay... she drew a heap of i-dunno-wat , looked a bit like a mountain (a furry one at that) and then she drew a MrBean'steddybear like thingy beside it and started pointing at it desperately. The 3 of us were throwing out all the bears we knew: From teddy bear to forest bear to tree bear, koala bear, POLAR BEAR (where she nodded especially vigorously), PANDA, hahah ZHAO's GRIZZLY BEAR AND BLACK BEAR and then i did CAREBEAR (hwhahahahaha). And when time was up, she started having fits of laughters and hugged at her tummy. And we were going, " wah lel , so waht is it? tell us! " and she tried to say it but she was laffing so hard, she looked like she had cramps, and when she finally got herself together, it was our turn to flip. The answer was... GLACIER. Hhahahah . The heap of rubbish she drew was A GLACIER!! oh man. This ppl are hilarious.

Anyway, we ALL think (maybe with e exception of zhao) we're gonna die this sunday. 10km crosscountry with at least 3km on the beach. DIE.
Arg. News that there might be a recall this weekend jus seriously turned all my plans topsy turvy. Was supposed to book out at 12 tml, go home, change, go down for my cousin Ryan's 6 yr old bday den meet junjie, sz and jb for dinner later. But NOW, if there's a recall on saturday , i can't make it for e bday party and i dunno wat time i can join them for dinner.
And e WORST case is IF there isn't a recall tml, i MIGHT be recalled on SUNDAY. During my run. And i need i say any more? I dunno how e hell i'm gonna make it back in my camp in 2 hrs. I jus hope i'm not halfway thru mi journey. Dat will jus suck. I'll start rolling. E only good thing is my 2 sergeants will be ard, n probably some other campmates too so i wun be too lost. Wah lel, i got a good mind to jus march in, get mi $30 Nike Drifit T-shirt and march to e beach , suntan and wait for mi recall. hahah. I hate recall! *grumble* jus pray dat it's tml if there's gonna be one. *&#%@
Wanted to take off on monday for driving ( actually i did take it, my off pass signed by my officer and i booked mi driving time slot) until i heard RUMORS that there might be recall on MONDAY which is jus ridiculous. But i can't take chances. $24 an hour is no joke. So i cancelled mi off with mi ma'am (no problem) and den pissed mi instructor off (not mi fault wat) when i cancelled mi driving. Aiya. stupid old uncle.
Oh well, spend quite a bit of money liao. But recently i'm losing control over mi resources. Cos suddenly the idea of having quite a generous sum of allowance during my overseas studies jus coaxed me into not saving up any money till then. :P
