It feels right to be sleepy at night. Ur eyes are slightly blurred and damp, ur eyelids are almost half closed, u yawn at 5 min intervals, ur joints ache slightly, ur shoulders sag and ur head's droopy.

Went to dele's house with zhao yesterday noon. Bout 4 pm.
Haha. It was supposed to be jus a pigging ard session with me cooking a few dishes as the highlight of the event.
Brought along a huge slice of cheesecake (Dele's mom think its really good and Dele claims its 'one of the best' she has ever eaten. *smug look* HAHA. zhao: i have taken revenge for my trodden-upon brownie >:P ) , fermented tofu , spicy bean paste and popcorn seeds.
So went over, lazed around abit at dele's hometheatre room. The two of them were ridiculous, playing Mastermind. Wat kind of boring game is dat! N they refused to play 3 person games, so i went over to use her laptop. Den we started on episode ONE of Hitotsu Yane No Shita! (Under A Roof)
ALL MY FRIENDS must know that Hitotsu..Shita is my FAVOURITE Jap series (probably my favourite among all the drama serials i've watched) - besides Hong Lou Meng, Hoshi No Kinka and Legend of the Condor-Shooting Heroes (wahhaha . i love e translation). ooh and Kan3 Fu1 Cheng2 Long2 (Stupid Husband Becomes Dragon - This hilarious super touching HK Serial with Xuan1 Xuan1 (i like her!) and a lousy ending).
Great music, nice pace of events, good plot, character development and cast. Very good filming too i think. I always get Post-Hitotsu...Shita-Syndrome, where i'll think the whole world is a beautiful place and siblings are the most beautiful things to have in the world. (And then i look over at my brother, sleeping , obese and drooling. hahah. Suan Le. )
And yay, zhao loved it! Think dele liked it too. She laughed so hard at one of those really wu liao jokes in e show (guess wat e show is full of it! comic relief for the intense drama in EVERY episode) Haha. i'm gonna make dele watch it to make it a Slacker's Show. Rocks.
Anyway, ya, after the show, dele had to get mi bum off the floor and proceed for mi "Fang1 Tai4 Shi2 Jian1". haha. I tell u it was quite hilarious. Dele's maid, Auntie Jo kept embarrassing me unintentionally with very earnestly delivered advice like " Why u dun shave the carrot's skin ?!" (head lowers) , "U never marinate the chicken ar? (i did auntie!) Why like no black sauce? " (head lowers again..) and "Why u add spring onion now? U should add it at the end wat! ( yes... auntie jo..) " (i'm pathetic). Haha. i was making Chicken Wings with Fermented Tofu paste and Bean Paste Tofu dish (w prawns , mushrooms and carrot).
But i din do much cos Aunt Jo, sorta heated up e oil, did a bit of my frying, peeled my prawns, cleaned my prawns, washed my dishes, passed me all my seasoning ingredients and cleaned up after me. haha. HEY! But it's my first time lei. haha
Well how did it turn out. I must say the tofu dish was RATHER well received. *clears throat and humble smile* er... but the chicken dish, *looks away* haha, was really bloody inside. haha. And dele's mom came back, looked at it , and gave me a very mysterious smile and said , " It looks bloated. Probably not very cooked. Water retention? " WAH! I'm IMPRESSED. Old ginger is still the hottest. haha.
Haha but while Zhao e useless bum who was especially caustic yesterday KEPT criticising me, making comments like " HEY! NI HUI BU HUI DE ? " and " DID U WASH THE THINGS OR NOT! WASH EVERYTHING! " and " U CAN BE A HOTEL CHEF COS U DUN WASH ANYTHING! " . Well dun see him being dat generous with his compliments ( Like the dish is "okayyy". ) PUI. haha. Dele's better. she was very defensive over mi dishes. Keep telling her mom it's pretty good. :) But i had mi revenge , *evil grin* kept making zhao run in and out of the kitchen (cos the actual place with the stove was outide e house) to get me ginger slices, teaspoons, put back ginger slices..haha. my assistant (with an attitude problem). Ooh and adele made alcoholic milo floats. Yum. was pretty good. Din know the qian1 jing1 could actually make stuff. :P
Den we had our little dinner with Aunt Jo's beehoon. Heng ah. if dun have, the other 2 would have starved to death. haha. Den we had a little DIY fruit fun. Dele jus got this pomelo and started ripping it out with her bare hands. Struggled. But nice pomelo. We finished it. Den she scampered off and got HALF a watermelon which cut uglily into oddly shaped slices. Haha. we din finish la. Too Full.
Den we POPPED CORN. *BIG KIDDY GRIN* haha gave Aunt Jo. problem again. I suspect she hates me coming over.hah. Got to use wok again MAH. haha. The first batch was a flop. Too little butter, added sugar too early. BURNT POPCORN. ( a little went to Chewy, e dog ) Den e 2nd batch where oil was used was much better. Dele went crazy and poured huge globs of honey over it . BUT IT WAS CHINA HONEY! haha. Den we took photos. Dele is a crazy ger. She started throwing the burnt popcorn about for the photo. hahaha. stupid ger.
Den we ran off for a game of WARPED pictionary. The game was SO ODD it was hilarious.
oK , for e benefit of e deprived souls who neva played pictionary be4 :P , it's a game where usually 2 or more pairs play. Groups of 2. Rolls Dice. Advances on to squares with either "A", "P", "O" , "D" or "AP" on them.
A for Action
P for People or Place
O for Object
D for Difficult
AP for ALL PLAY.
So for ur respective letter, u look at ur respective word on ur Card u drew fm a whole stack of them and draw it our for ur partner. If he gets it, u advance. For ALL PLAY, u draw for other groups too. So if they guess it, it's their turn, otherwise its urs. Cool? Cool.

so how it works. 3 individual players. I draw and THEY GUESS. IF THEY CAN GUESS. I ADVANCE. HHAHAH isn't dat hilarious. It's such a FRIENDLY game! We sorta made a vow to try our best to guess. Otherwise we all can't advance mah. hhaa. okay so we thot it was okay. Until... i got..... AP.
So HOW CAN I DO AP?
haha. so we thot of sth. Where I draw and whoever guessed correctly would get his/her turn. BUT WAIT. so for some1 who can draw normally well, u would NEVER advance.
So i was stuck at AP for 3 rounds and i started yelling and complaining that it was ridiculous cos i would draw and they would def. get it (hello, things like Dinner la, SIX O'CLOCK la. how hard issit to draw? ) and i COULDN'T ADVANCE. they sure were getting a kick out of seeing me stuck. UNTIL WE EVENTUALLY ALL GOT AP. Den i declared e new rule, whoever was stuck on AP can only get out if the others CAN'T guess what he's drawing or he is stuck there for 3 rounds. Haha. so the game was super long. and we'll all have this really toiletbowled look on our faces when we got the arrow sign on the others like Action , Object cos it meant the category would become ALL PLAY TOO!
hah. confusing huh? sorry la, jus felt like writing all dat. heh.
Anyway, some words were really silly like dele started cackling when she saw this word for AP (if we can't guess she advances ) : "Worm Wood Scrub". (?!??!?!?)
Well. it was a super fun evening la. Slackers do rock.
too bad lau n yung chung couldn't come. but oh well. we had fun aniwae!

this morn went to junjie's house to pass him his pressie. hehe. He liked it and dat's good. got him 2 books : The Little Prince and Tuesdays with Morrie. Mandarin for Little Prince. :) cos he's gonna study chinese mah. so better let him polish up his chinese.
Really really glad he sort of grew up a little after reading a self-help book. He NEVER reads. So he learnt how to be more assertive, learnt how to refuse ppl and not care so much about wat other's say or think. SIgh. He's realli quite a kid, but i'm really glad he could understand stuff like dat. (I've been trying to tell him for years! he'll jus agree to lend his fren anything n den complain to me dat they damaged his stuff or lost them , or when he doesn't know how to refuse those petty salesmen on e streets) It's a bit late but better late then never huh.
haha. he was proudly telling me how many times he refused his friends. Sigh. Some things NEVER change.

I was supposed to drag him along to go change mi defective Jielun CD. UNTIL i realised. (ashamed of miself) My Jielun CD is perfectly fine. ARGH. Made a wrong accusation (cursed e auntie (who was actually a xiao jie) a few times before). My own cd drive is wonky. Sucks. But we went AMK central anyway to eat Ba Cuo Mee. it's really GOOD. i think. tho mr. junjie thinks the mee isn't good enuf. riddickulous. wow n if u guys go there, try the ice cream vendor outside e market with the mee (not S11), his Evergreen brand icecream is pretty yummy. Not like e Walls and Kings type. $1 also.
Den we went off to Toa Payoh Sports Stadium. Collected the Nike Real Run chip and running tag. AND REALISED TO MY UTTER HORROR :

HELP!!! AH ZHAO says it isn't his fault BUT WAH LAU! he registered. *grumble* haha. no la. they prob cocked up demselves. Wah piang. terrible. I'll be like running all alone and 5.5 km. and i'm like e oldest. So if i like lose to all e young blood , i'm so diu lian. and dey will see my chou3 tai4. arg!! helpppppp. aiyah suan le. at least i save up on running e other 4.5 km. go suntanning earlier. hhaa
But *slit-eyed look* i heard dele and lau are gonna either walk e entire distance OR walk straight to the beach and suntan. WAH LEL. so much for a healthy event.

Oh not dat i want to end this blog in a pensive tone but i heard Real Men by Tori again and i suddenly got this huge impact from one of the lines which sang :

And i realised how depressing and scary it was (on a very large scale) to see men abusing women (i try not to be biased but i dun realli see much of e reverse) and rape. Can we actually read reports on rape day to day n not realise e severity and gravity of it all? Desensitized? Humans are so scary. *shivers a little*
